The 5th Couch Stories Show
7th March 2014 at Old St John's, Nelson

Theme of the Night: Anything But Politics

This show featured ten politicians (7 Labour Members of Parliament, and 3 local body politicians from Nelson / Tasman ) telling true stories about anything except politics. We weren't sure they could do it. But they did!
Picture
Storytellers take a bow: from left Gail Collingwood, Jacinda Adern, Ali Boswjik,Chris Hipkins, Marian Hobbs, Damien O'Connor, Moana Mackey, Megan Woods, Judene Edgar, Maryann Street.

Instead of politics our politicians told stories about disastrous holidays, peculiar passions, stolen research, volunteering overseas, the Ethiopian Orthodox church and lots more besides.

Jacinda Adern stole the night by whipping off a buttoned-up rain coat to reveal a Victorian-era walking outfit half way through
her story  - check out the slideshow below....
