Theme of the Night: Encounters
We had no trouble lining up the storytellers for this sold-out show at the 2017 Nelson Arts Festival. It seems everyone’s got an encounter story!
We heard true stories about encounters with animals, including a bull elephant in Africa, a python riding the London underground and a cute looking little penguin which turned into an absolute fiend.
We heard about encounters with human animals too - playground bullies, high school sex education class and a disturbing encounter in a campground shower.
Stories on the night provoked hilarity, anxiety, horror and appalled fascination.
